FAQ

*Stained glass changes based on the light source. Textures vary and what may seem like an imperfection (bubble or crease) is just a characteristic of the glass. Each piece is handmade, unique, and may look different from sample photos. Your piece will be one of a kind and that is the beauty of stained glass :)

What is your shipping and return policy?

  • All sales are final.
  • In Stock items will ship within 5-7 business days of purchase. Made to Order items have a 2-6 week timeline to ship.
    • Orders are carefully packaged and shipped.
    • Shipping is included in the purchase price.
How do I care for my stained glass?
      • I clean and polish your pieces carefully before delivery. You may only ever need to dust your piece, but if you start to notice a white substance appearing around the solder lines (oxidation), just clean using a soft, damp cloth and/or a mild, ammonia-free cleaning solution (never Windex!). You can also use Q-Tips for hard to reach areas. Avoid using abrasive or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the glass and break down the solder lines.
        • Most of the pieces I make use lead (60/40 lead solder and lead came borders), so although the risk is minimal, it is a good idea to wash your hands after handling. Keep away from children and pets.

How do I hang my stained glass?

        • Each piece comes ready to hang with a chain or cord attached. If you want to hang your piece on a wall or in a window, I recommend screwing in a sturdy hook. I don't trust the classic suction cup hooks, so I never recommend using those!
        Do you make custom pieces?
        • Yes! We will work together to create a unique piece that meets your specific design and color preferences, while still maintaining the unique look of a Sway piece. Limited availability, so head to the Contact Page and send me a message to get started!
How long does it take to create a stained glass piece?
        • It can vary depending on the complexity of the design and the size of the piece. It can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to complete a custom piece. We will discuss a timeline based on scheduling and complexity.
What if my piece is damaged?
        • If damage occurs to your piece, send me a message and we can discus further steps based on the circumstance.
